Who will be the first to name the fabulous Vancouver restaurant where we were able to do that? Full review coming soon to a blog near you...But first, have a guess!

  1. The Afghan Horseman?

  2. We have a winner! Thanks, Tai. You named that restaurant in less than 24 hours. Their drink special, "The Mighty Horsemen" were served in ceramic plant pots. More details to come in the full review.

  3. Dang ...... Tai beat me to it. Last time I was at the A.H. the group at the next table ordered the humungous Mighty Horsemen that they shared drinking from (hmmm ..... public health violations ?!?). Looked cool, but I wouldn't do it myself.

SO, can we win prizes for future quiz questions ? Nancy aren't ya gonna give out prizes for local restaurants so your dedicated and keen readers can be better educated about local eating scene ? ;-)

  4. Yah, I thought about giving a prize, but didn't come up with one in time. I will see what I can wrangle up in the future. :) But keep in mind that I really want to protect my secret blogging identity when I'm dining out, so approaching restaurants for gift certificates/coupons will be a bit tricky. But you dedicated and keen (albeit occassionally demanding) readers should definitely be rewarded...at the very least with the satisfaction of displaying your wealth of Vancouver restaurant knowledge as Tai and yourself have in this teaser/trailer for the next post. Check out the Daters' Corner link, btw. I haven't used any of the coupons yet, but I put the link on there for y'all as there's a bunch of 2 for 1 deals on there. The webmaster there has done the footwork to get some deals.

  5. Darn. I saw the post too late. Just a note: I had my bridal shower dinner there and my friends got me an ...um... phallic cake. Our male server was so embarassed and mortified he stayed away after that. We had to flag down a female server who found it all quite amusing. So take note, if you want good service, don't bring the penis cake!

  6. Hee hee! That's SO funny! Hmmm...what flavour was the cake? How about one of those red velvet cakes with the bright red colour inside? Cutting into one of those could be a bit disturbing for some.

  7. Yes, a cake that's red on the inside would be kinda weird. This one was actually a regular cake with a phallic appendage perched on top sculpted out of something that reminded me of that glutinous, rice flour Chinese new year cake. And yes, it was chewy. ;)

Wow, I haven't won at ANYTHING for so LOOONG!!

That was fun, lets have another one!
